Dementia Caregiver Monthly Support Group

                      Dementia Caregiver Support Group Starting June 9.

Niccolls Nurses is pleased to announce the formation of a monthly Caregiver Support Group at Niccolls Church, 228 Crosby Blvd, Old Forge.  The support group will meet the second Thursday of each month at 1 PM, starting June 9.  There is no charge to attend and registration is not required.

Caring for a loved one with any form of dementia can be an extremely stressful, long and emotional journey.  As a caregiver, remember that you too are important and need support and guidance as well.  A support group can help you on this journey by offering:

• Comfort, understanding and companionship
• Practical advice and strategies
• Information and resources
• A confidential place to share thoughts and feelings

All are welcome to attend no matter your current situation…whether your loved one is in a facility or you are caring for him/her at home; whether you feel that you are at the start of this journey or have been dealing with it for many years.
