LivingADK & Niccolls Nurses Announce Upcoming Grief 101 Presentation
Society doesn’t “do” grief, and most people are at a loss to know what to say when dealing with a death or when supporting a family member, friend or acquaintance dealing with a major loss. This FREE local presentation will be held on Saturday, April 30th from 10 am -11:30 am at Niccolls Church, 228 Crosby Blvd., Old Forge, NY.
Ms. Linda Clark, LCSW, a bereavement counselor at Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc. in New Hartford, will cover normal grief reactions, theories related to grief, coping techniques, and ways to support others who are grieving. The PowerPoint presentation will be followed by a discussion period. The presentation will also be recorded and shared on LivingADK.org under the Impact/Healthcare Access page.
