Town of Inlet Meet the Candidate Night

LivingADK will be hosting a Town of Inlet “Meet the Candidate Night” on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023 from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM at the Inlet Town Hall, 160 State Route 28, Inlet, NY 13360.  This event is created for the benefit of the electorate. We encourage Inlet residents to arrive at 6:00 PM and mingle and speak with the candidates prior to the event start time.   

To start our October 24th evening off, each candidate will provide a little information about themselves and what they hope to accomplish for the community if elected or re-elected.  Positions up for election are:

Supervisor (2yrs) - John Frey – incumbent

Councilman Seat C (4yrs) - Dan Levi - incumbent

Councilman Seat D (4yrs) - John Townsend - incumbent
                                Stephen Cole

Highway Superintendent (4yrs) - Shawn Hansen - incumbent

Town Justice (4yrs) - Georgia Levi - incumbent

LivingADK will present questions previously submitted by community residents to board and town positions and the candidate(s) will each have a chance to respond. Additionally, the public will be offered paper & pencil at the door and asked to place additional questions in a box, so feel free to bring your questions with you.  The presented questions will be pulled and read by the Moderator and any candidate(s) will have 3 minutes to reply.  Any question presented should be directed toward a specific board or town positions and not specific candidates running to avoid any sense of bias toward a candidate.

Our goal is to present an event where questions asked are topics aimed at improving the overall health of the Town of Inlet and allows candidates to express how they feel about issues important to them.

This event will be recorded and posted on LivingADK’s Facebook page and website within a few days after the event to benefit those electorate members that could not attend in person.
