"Protecting Mother Earth" Winter Solstice celebration: Exploring stewardship on the longest day of the year

December 21st is the Winter Solstice and we invite you to join us at the Old Forge Library along with Weaving Home and LivingADK.  Cultures around the world have celebrated the winter solstice.  Fire and light are traditional symbols of festivities held on the darkest day of the year. Celebrate together with us.  The theme this year is stewardship of the earth.  We come together to focus on our beautiful planet we call home and claim a role in protecting her.
